WaveVision Seed Sensor Precision Planting

Precision Planting WaveVision

When it comes to measuring seed population, spacing, skips and doubles, you have to depend on the accuracy of your seed sensors. However optical sensors have 4 big problems. Dust can look like seeds, doubles look like singles, dust covers the sensing eye, and they mount at the middle of the seeds tube. Precision Planting Wave Vision eliminates these problems and provides the most accurate information to your monitor. High frequency radio waves, rather than light, engulf seeds so that you get a 3D look at seeds. It sees mass, not shape. So doubles look like doubles. The radio waves also see through dust and that means the seed sensor is mounted at the bottom of the seed tube where it’s the most accurate.

Precision Planting WaveVisionFour issues with optical sensors that WaveVision overcomes:

  • Dust can look like seeds giving false populations
  • Double seeds look like singles
  • Dust covers the optical sensing eye
  • The optical eyes are mounted in the middle of the tube while WaveVision tubes mount the sensor at the bottom giving the most accurate readings.

Precision Planting WaveVision eliminates these problems and provides the most accurate information to your monitor.

FAQ

How does WaveVision install into my planter?

The WaveVision is pre-assembled and ready to install. Each WaveVision includes a seedtube and sensore already so simply pull out the existing seed tube and replace with new WaveVision.
Will the WaveVision Tube work without using the 20/20 monitor?

Yes, the sensors will work with existing monitors. If more than 12 rows of WaveVision sensors are used, and not using SeedSense, a power booster between the 37-pin connector is needed in order to supply a consistent and more robust supply of power to the WaveVision sensors.

What planters will WaveVision work on?

  • John Deere 7200/1700 Series
  • John Deer 7000/ Kinze, Great Plains, & Yield Pro
  • White 5000 / 6000 / 8000
  • Monosem
